But it's also built on something personal —
What I learned in my personal healing journey: We have greater capacity for healing that we may realize.
Feel the difference with movement work designed just for you
Julie is an exceptional Pilates instructor. She understands my strengths and limitations, challenges me appropriately and gives me clear and thoughtful instruction at every online session.
Her attention to detail is second to none. Each week I can count on her for an individualized program designed just for me; there is no cookie cutter approach with Julie.
She gently guides me toward the goals I want to achieve and celebrates each accomplishment. She is a kind, sensitive, and thoughtful teacher, highly observant and attuned to not just the physical but the emotional and mental as well. I look forward to my sessions with her every week.

"Julie is a godsend! I've struggled with lower back pain, core weakness, and posture issues for years. I've tried working out consistently, walking, and adding more stretching into my routine, but nothing really helped.
Then I contacted Julie. In just one session, she introduced me to muscles I had never purposefully engaged before, and it completely changed the way I view exercise. She's helped me understand how to activate and stretch different areas in a way that actually supports my body.
This is just the beginning, and I'm excited to see the progress as we continue working together. No matter what stage of fitness you're in, Julie can help. I'd recommend her to anyone!”

Strengthen your intuitive relationship with your body
I help you recognize quantifiable progress,
celebrate victories & stay connected to what your body is capable of.
Your body responds to what you expect from it, how you speak to it, and your receptivity to change. Small shifts in your mindset create real changes in your physical capacity.
There are more than nice words. They are powerful instructions that saved my life, and have guided me in work with countless others.
My years with Julie have impacted my overall attitude regarding movement.
It has been a pleasure to work with her and learn how to listen to my body! There is such a difference in how I move in my life today.

Feel empowered with Bone Health Classes
"Julie's Bone Health class is the perfect way to start your week! I am much stronger and more flexible due to taking her classes. Julie's deep knowledge of bone health and body anatomy informs each class. She integrates this knowledge to keep class interesting and fun. She is also attentive to each person's form and gently corrects us if needed. I enjoy that I can attend from anywhere and don't have to leave the house to get to class. I meet you where you are & help guide where you can be
I notice what you are engaging and what you are not, and the timing and partnerships of your muscular engagements.
I help you feel the difference. If a muscle isn't engaging, if you're compensating in ways you don't realize, if something has shifted since last week—I see it and guide you through it — so you can learn to find it in yourself.
And I never teach the same class twice
Every session brings something new:
a fresh challenge, a different way to engage your body.
Clients who have worked with me for over 20 years—continue to discover new things about their bodies.
The work continues to evolve with you — because we are always changing and our bodies need fresh challenges for a constant flow of rejuvenation.

Remote work, works
"I started going to Julie in person around 10 or 12 years ago. I saw her once a week, where she had a Reformer and other Pilates equipment. Through that work I got stronger and felt more centered in my own body. Then COVID hit and we began seeing each other on Zoom. For the past six years I have been seeing Julie twice a week for one hour each time, all virtually.
I was initially skeptical about doing Pilates on Zoom. I was concerned that Julie wouldn't be able to see when I was out of position or doing a move incorrectly. I was wrong. Julie is extraordinarily well trained and is incredibly aware of how our bodies work. She is able to see the smallest imperfection in my positioning and immediately corrects me.
She prepares for each session and professionalism and attention to detail make her an outstanding instructor.
I am in the best shape of my life and I owe much of it to Julie's guidance and expertise. Anyone who is looking to get stronger and stand straighter should work with Julie. As she always says, 'There's strong, and there's Mat Pilates strong.' Take it from me, there's nothing better than feeling Mat Pilates strong."
Judy, Deerfield, IL
“I am so happy that my schedule allowed me to rejoin Julie's remote Bone Health classes! Julie made me feel so comfortable easing back into the class…it was as if I had only missed a few weeks!
I love the convenience of the remote classes and Julie is so wonderful in creating an atmosphere that feels like we're all in the same room.
Julie continues to bring new ideas and elements into each week's class. And she is so spot on in identifying my movement, alignment and when necessary, helping me make the subtle adjustments so that the exercises have the greatest impact. It's very impressive!!”
Laura, Deerfield, IL
What is special about remote work
People can be initially skeptical about doing virtual Pilates —concerned I won't be able to see positioning or correct movement properly.
What they discover is that I notice the subtle shifts in alignment, the small compensations, the moments when a muscle isn't fully engaging. I guide you with precise cueing and adjustments, helping you develop body awareness that stays with you long after our session ends.
Remote sessions offer unique advantages:
I have taught in-person on machines for 25 years, but I noticed something interesting:
When there is no person or machine support, people tend to become stronger at supporting their own body weight and positioning. And that helps them become more confident to try new physical activities in their lives.
When you are in your own space, working with your own props, you build strength and movement patterns that integrate seamlessly into your daily workouts and your life.
You receive a personalized at-home program, designed for your environment and your at-home props, to continue in-between our sessions.
No commute, no distractions—just consistent, personalized work that meets you where you are.
