Reclaim your power & rediscover what your body can do

This is an opportunity to deepen your
relationship with your body.

Many people come to me after a bone density diagnosis feeling a loss of control. The first step is education—understanding the guidelines, what to avoid, how to protect your bones.

But knowing the contraindications can also create fear of moving. This stress can disrupt the relationship you've had with your body.

You may depend on certain exercises that have worked in the past. How are you going to find your strength, joy of movement, your peace—if you have to give them up now?

Your body wants to be continually challenged. This is an opportunity to deepen the relationship you have with your body.

Movement modifications don't have to make a workout easier or less intense. There are creative ways to challenge your strength while adhering to national safety guidelines.

Protect and stimulate bones, strengthen core and build a muscular coat of armor. Decompress posture, develop balance and fall prevention strategies — take back control.

Julie's Bone Health classes support my goal to stay healthy and strong.”

“We were hiking in Arizona and I used things I learned in Julie’s Bone Health class.

I tightened my core, like we learned in weight-transfer fall prevention techniques as we were hiking down the trail on rock.

I felt so much more confident and comfortable.”

This work is different

Julie Cheifetz demonstrating Bone Health exercise to empower those managing osteoporosis

With 25 years of experience, I have developed innovative ways to support bone health that you won't find in a standard class — while honoring nationally recognized safety standards.

For example: Balance work that starts lying down, so you feel safe while building the foundation. Fall prevention exercises that feel like fun movement—done lying down or kneeling until you're ready for more, and how to strengthen oblique muscles without contraindicated rotational movement.

I notice what you engage and what you don’t…

If you're using your lumbar spine instead of thoracic, and I help you learn to feel the difference. If a muscle isn't engaging, I guide you to find it. Small details create big changes in how your body moves and stabilizes.

And the work grows with you

Every session brings something new: a creative modification, a fresh challenge, a different way to engage your body safely. Clients who've worked with me for 20 years continue to discover new things about their bodies.

“Julie continues to bring new ideas and elements into each week's class.

And she is so spot on in identifying my movement, alignment and when necessary, helping me make the subtle adjustments so that the exercises have the greatest impact. It's very impressive!!”

I am so happy that my schedule allowed me to rejoin Julie’s remote Bone Health classes! Julie made me feel so comfortable easing back into the class…it was as if I had only missed a few weeks!

I love the convenience of the remote classes and Julie is so wonderful in creating an atmosphere that feels like we’re all in the same room.

Feel more confident in how you move through life.

Julie Cheifetz teaching woman managing osteoporosis to find their power!
  • Build Your Coat of Armor

Strengthen bone protection with your body's own coat of armor, your muscles. Build strategic patterns to support your bones, decompress posture, and create muscular partnerships that assist balance and help prevent falls. The entire body is engaged, including core, spinal extensors, hips and glutes, and arms.

  • Improve Posture and Balance

Learn to decompress the spine and build proper postural alignment—especially in your thoracic spine, the area most vulnerable to fracture.

Your muscles learn to work in effective partnerships, with less fatigue and strain, for freedom of movement.

  • Build Fall Prevention Skills

We use exercises specially designed to develop stability, reflexes, and core awareness—starting where you feel safe on the floor, and progressing to standing, as you're ready.

The special benefits of remote work

Bone Health classes are available as private and small group sessions. Both offer personalized cueing and fine-tuned attention.

Classes are taught remotely.

I have noticed: Clients working virtually often progress faster. When in your own space, you often connect more deeply with your body, learning to support yourself more independently.

Working remotely, I see the subtle engagement of a muscle, the shift in your posture, the compensation patterns. And your practice integrates naturally into your life.

You will have a customized program using whatever props you have—or none at all. You're not dependent on getting to a studio. Your practice becomes part of your life.
