  • Everything is energy. We are made up of energy and so is everything in our environment. That energy can be transformed into what beneficially serves us, or what creates blockages in our well-being emotionally, mentally, physically and spirtiually.

    Energy work addresses the energetic imprints of past experiences, trauma, emotional blocks, and limiting beliefs that affect your physical health, emotional wellbeing, and sense of self. Your energy system (chakras) influences everything—how you feel physically, your emotional balance, mental clarity, and sense of purpose.

    When your energy system is out of balance, it might show up as chronic fatigue, recurring patterns you can't break, physical pain, fears you can't overcome, illness, or a sense that something is blocking you from moving forward. It can keep you from feeling your true self.

    This work releases what's been held in your system and then transforms that energy into what serves your highest good.

    How is your energy work different from Reiki or other energy healing?

    While Reiki and other modalities channel their own healing energy through the practitioner to the client, my approach is fundamentally different.

    A Reiki practitioner’s energy can interfere with yours.

    That is not possible with the way I facilitate.

    I don't work on you—I work with your higher self. So my energy does not affect yours — you are safe and protected from anything that is not yours.

    I create a sacred space where I can connect with your higher wisdom, your higher self, and your spiritual team. But a firewall keeps our personal energies completely separate. This means:

    • My energy never interferes with yours

    • You remain protected and safe

    • Your higher self decides what information I need to know

    • Your spiritual team does the actual energy handling

    Many practitioners release the energy that currently exists — but they may not address what created that energy in the first place.

    And many practitioners focus entirely on release.

    I facilitate Release + Transformation and the work reaches into the deep rooted patterns that created the energy blockages in the first place.

    I've found that release alone isn't enough—when trauma or emotional energy is neutralized but not transformed, it can return to the same patterns. My work includes both releasing what no longer serves you AND consciously transforming that energy toward what benefits your highest good.

  • No. While an open mind helps, you don't need to believe in it for it to be effective. Your body and energy system respond to the work whether your conscious mind is skeptical or not.

    What matters most is that you're open to the possibility that something can change. Many of my clients start out skeptical and humor me by making small shifts (like changing how they talk about their body). Once they feel the results, belief follows naturally.

  • No. You do not need to believe in anything, as long as you are receptive to what you may experience.

  • Why do you work remotely? Is it as effective as in-person?

    People can be initially skeptical about remote sessions—particularly for Pilates. They wonder if I can really see their form, and for energy work, they may assume physical proximity is more effective.

    For Pilates:

    I can see subtle shifts in alignment, small compensations, and moments when muscles aren't fully engaging. I guide you with precise cueing and corrections.

    One client who worked with me in-person for years then switched to Zoom said:

    "I was initially skeptical...I was concerned that Julie wouldn't be able to see when I was out of position or doing a move incorrectly. I was wrong. Julie is extraordinarily well trained and incredibly aware of how our bodies work. She is able to see the smallest imperfection in my positioning and immediately corrects me."

    Benefits of remote Pilates sessions:

    • Independence & Confidence: I have witnessed clients develop deeper body awareness and greater independence when they support their body in movement. This reaches into how they move through their lives with greater comfidence to try new things.

    • Your own equipment: You work with props you have at home and receive personalized programs you can practice between sessions

    • Consistency: You can continue working together even when you travel or if you move to a new location. Many of my long-term client relationships have continued seamlessly across cities, states, and even countries.

    • Your own space: You're in a comfortable, safe environment where you can connect more deeply with yourself, no distractions.

    • No commute: More time for the work itself, less stress getting there

    For energy work:

    Energy doesn't require physical proximity. I connect with your higher self in a protected sacred space, regardless of where you are physically. Distance is irrelevant to energy—what matters is intention, connection, and the work itself.

    Benefits of remote sessions for Energy Work:

    • Protection: Your energy field is protected from mine, or any practitioner.

    • Consistency: You can continue working together even when you travel or if you move to a new location. Many of my long-term client relationships have continued seamlessly across cities, states, and even countries.

    • Your own space: You're in a comfortable, safe environment where you can connect more deeply with yourself

    • No commute: More time for the work itself, less stress getting there

    • Geographic freedom: Location doesn't limit who you can work with

  • Pilates is a movement system focused on core strength, stability, flexibility, and body awareness through controlled, precise movements. It's not stretching, and it's not "easy"—it's intelligent, functional movement that builds deep strength and proper body mechanics.

    My Pilates-based approach includes:

    • 24 years of experience and training with leading teachers in the field

    • Understanding that your body is always listening—the way you think and speak about your body affects its capacity for strength and renewal

    • Personalized programs based on what YOUR body needs (no cookie-cutter classes)

    • Specialized focus on bone health, chronic pain release, and injury recovery

    • Teaching you to listen to your body and develop lasting body awareness

    The foundation is Pilates principles, but informed by the deeper understanding that our bodies respond to our expectations and that true transformation comes from addressing both physical patterns AND what's held energetically.

  • Responses vary by person and by type of session:

    After Pilates: You might feel muscles you've never felt before, increased body awareness, some soreness (the good kind), and often a sense of standing taller or feeling more grounded.

    After energy work: You might feel lighter, more peaceful, tired (energy work can be surprisingly physical), emotional release, clarity, or shifts that continue unfolding over the following days. Some people notice immediate changes; others experience more gradual shifts.

    A helpful tip: If it feels comfortable for you, try adding fresh lemon to your water after energy sessions. Many clients find this supports the clearing and integration process.

    For all sessions: Drink plenty of water, rest if needed, and be gentle with yourself as integration happens.

  • For Pilates sessions:

    • Wear comfortable clothing you can move in

    • Have your props ready (I'll let you know what you need)

    • Be in a space where you can move freely

    • Have your device positioned so I can see your full body

    For energy work sessions:

    • Be in a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be interrupted

    • For chakra balancing, you simply go about your day—no preparation needed

    • For shadow work or past life review, come with an open mind and heart

    • For past life review: Avoid any optional medications (like pain relievers) if possible, and skip caffeine before the session. This helps you maintain the clearest possible connection. (Of course, continue any necessary prescribed medications.)

    • Have water nearby

    For all sessions:

    • Test your Zoom connection beforehand

    • Silence your phone

    • Let others in your home know you need uninterrupted time

  • This depends entirely on what you're working on and what you want to achieve.

    For Pilates: Many clients work with me ongoing (weekly or twice weekly) because they love how it makes them feel and want to continue building strength and awareness. For specific injury recovery or chronic pain, we set milestones and reassess as you progress.

    For energy work:

    • Chakra balancing might be a single session or periodic tune-ups

    • Shadow work often benefits from 3-6 sessions to work through multiple archetypes

    • Past life review might be a single deep session or multiple sessions exploring different themes

    • Integrated healing (trauma release + movement) typically works best as a series of 4-6 sessions

    We'll discuss this in your discovery call based on your specific situation.

  • No. This work is not covered by insurance as it's considered alternative/complementary wellness services. However, you may be able to use HSA/FSA funds for some sessions—check with your plan administrator.

    Payment is due at time of booking.

  • I don't use automated online booking systems. Here's why:

    Personalized approach: Every client's needs are unique, and the best way to determine which session type, duration, and timing works for you is through a conversation—either in your discovery call or via direct communication. This ensures you get exactly what you need rather than booking something that may not be the right fit.

    Flexibility: By scheduling directly via email or text, I can offer more flexibility with timing, accommodate special requests, and easily adjust if your needs change. It's a more collaborative process.

    Privacy and attention: Working one-on-one to schedule means I can give each client my full attention and ensure our calendars align in a way that serves you best.
